St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish
"Growing Together in Faith"

Dear Parishioners
of St. Stans,
I thought it appropriate as we begin our journey together to introduce myself
and provide a little bit of background. My name is Rev. George
Thayilkuzhithottu Msfs, but you can call me Fr. George. I am a religious priest
belonging to the order/congregation of Missionaries of St. Francis De Sales
(Msfs). The order was established in 1838 in Annecy, France by Fr. Peter
Mermier. The members of the order serve the Church all over the world with
triple charisms of Parish Mission, Foreign Mission and Education. For more
information please refer to the official website of the order: www.fransalians.

I am originally from the state of Kerala, in the land of St. Thomas the Apostle,
India. A priest of 12 years, I was ordained on April 30, 1997 at my home parish
in Kerala, India. My family had 10 children, six girls and four boys, both parents
still living and in good health. For the first four years of my priesthood,1997-
2001, I served in a Mission school in Kathmandu, Nepal the Himalayan
Kingdom now a Republic. Later, I returned to India in July 2001 and served two
parishes as pastor until April 2005.
On August 19, 2005 I arrived in the United States with my first appointment as
Associate Pastor at St. James the Less in La Crosse. I served there from Nov.
1, 2005 to June 12, 2006, when I was then transferred to St. Mary’s in Custer
to serve from June 13, 2006 to June 30, 2009. Some of my hobbies include
reading, golfing, skiing, watching the Packers in action, exercising at the Y and
socializing. I am happy to be a part of St. Stan’s parish community and look
forward to meeting all of you. I am very excited about the opportunity to serve
as your Pastor.
Thank you and God Bless,
Fr. George
