Old Business:

1.        Food Collections: Food from Thanksgiving and the past week-end were truly abundant and appreciated by Catholic Charities, Mobile Pantry and Operation Bootstrap. The Dec. collection was for Mobile Pantry as well. Gwidts will cover the January collection which will be for Operation Bootstrap.

2.        Salvation Army Dinner:  Scheduled for Dec. 15, Becky is coordinating;   Becky and Krems family will make chili.  Karen will check with Ferriters on obtaining potatoes.  Karen will make a jello salad.  Marilyn will make cookies or bars.  Beth will also make a salad.  Plans are for 35-40.  Additional foods include macaroni and crackers. Group will meet at 4:30.  Dinner is served at 5:30 and left overs are shared with clients.

3.        HIV/AIDS Christmas Gift:  Traditionally the committee has personally donated funds for a gift for a client.  This year money was collected for a gift card for gas or food.

4.        Joint Justice and Peace Meeting:   Scheduled for Thursday Dec. 10 at 7PM at St. Brons. Christopher Ruff will present a powerpoint and presentation on Social Ministries at the Diocese.  Our group will share the activities we are involved in and the ministries we are supporting.

5.        Alyssa Weber, a senior at SPASH has agreed to update our bulletin board.  We will work on it during Christmas vacation.

New Business:

        1. Lori and David Baral (Lori Pohl) are parishioners and parents of a new baby last fall that is in need of a total heart transplant.  The rectory has received a call from a friend who will be sending a website that people can access.  It is recommended to adopt suggestion that a notice will be placed in the Church bulletin inviting people to personally send a donation as they choose.  Mary Ann will connect with Lori’s Father and Karen will connect with Lori for details and permission to promote.

2. Christmas Dinner:  Plans are pretty well arranged. Again, a generous response from the parish members for both donations and help has been received.  Plans are for serving 125. Notices have been sent to all the food agencies.  Placemats have been purchased and J&P members are asked to donate a Christmas table decoration that can be taken back when done.  Additional purchases will be made for containers for take out and small dessert plates.  Extra cookies will be put together for our guests to take home. A basket will be put out for a free will donation.   Karen will do the shopping next week. Group will meet at 9am Christmas Eve and 8am or after the Morning Mass on Christmas Day.

3. Time and Talent Sheets:  J&P has a procedure outlined for tallying.  Becky will put together a data base and Mary Ann will alphabetize. Entry will be made in a group effort of a coffee or gathering after the first of the year.

4. The finance committee is asking that we inform them and get the ok to promote to the parish n projects requesting collections.   Specifically, our four mission projects need an ok.  Our purpose is to educate the parish and assist the missions in their need.  Mary Ann will put a presentation together and contact Rita Borski, chair of Finance.
