Catholic Journey- this program was held January 27, 2008 at St. Maximillian
Kolbe and Bob states that it was fairly successful. People who attended had a
nice time and enjoyed the music by Smokey Express. Fr. Marty Pable was the

10. Council
Chair Report/Announcements: Bob Rogers
Ø No
report
11. Unfinished
Business: Bob Rogers
Ø Sunday
Programs: All Council members received a summary of the Between Mass Programs
Suggestions Results as rated by them. The results clearly showed that an event
involving food was high on the list in terms of drawing people down to Kostka
Hall between masses. Dave Fletcher & Gene LaRose will explore the
possibility of planning a pancake breakfast or something along this line with
the help of some other parishioners who have planned events of this sort in
Kostka Hall in the past. Getting parishioners used to coming downstairs between
masses is the short term goal at this time before exploring some of the other
programs suggested on the list.
Ø Parish
Nurse Program: Penny and Dave will meet to discuss this program further now
that Dave is back from his trip. They will be exploring options for polling
parishioners as to their interest in this type of program here at St. Stan’s.
Ø Mass
Counts: no data available yet
Ø Mary
Ann Powell continues to lead the Faith Alive Group on Mondays in conjunction
with the bible study. Based on
materials received from the diocese, any interest in conducting another program
or joining this group on Monday’s should contact Mary Ann.
12. New
Business: Bob Rogers
Ø Catholics
Coming Home Program: Bob emailed St. Stan’s Catholic Education Committee
regarding St. Stanislaus becoming “home base” for this program due to the
current uncertain state of the Deanery Coordinator position. Bob will pursue
the program on his own for this year on behalf of the Deanery regardless of
whether or not the parish decides to own it in the future. The Catholic Ed.
Committee will be meeting within the next week and will be discussing this
topic at that time. This year’s program will begin in March and Bob will be
placing advertisements in our bulletin and at different locations throughout
the community to promote this.
Ø Parking
Issue: Concern related to parking in our lot on school days/holy days as people
are not parking within the lines provided and blocking lanes which should be
kept open in case of an emergency. Bob has discussed this issue with Gregg
Hansel and Gregg will discuss further with Dave Fletcher as to how to handle
this in the future.
