GUIDE SHEET FOR SHARING….(Feb 2011)

 

  1. THE SALVATION ARMY:: 1600 BRIGGS ST. STEVENS POINT

    3. SERVICES: EMERGENCY SHELTER (18 years or older unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and no record of sexual offenses.
    4. FOOD BASKETS: 10:00am TO 1:00 pm on Saturdays or emergency
    5. MEALS: 7 days a week Breakfast. 6-7AM, Lunch at Noon, Dinner at 5:30
    6. DONATIONS:  Serve a meal or donate food to the Center anytime.
    7. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY BASKETS AND TOYS FOR TOTS

c. SERVICES: Food Pantry or Living Supplies Voucher from county emergency services for Portage County Residents.

d. HOURS of OPERATION: Food Pantry 10:30-2:30 every Tuesday except Holidays. VOUCHER Program: 10 AM-5PM after appointment with store directors.

e. FOOD DONATIONS: dropped off during Food Pantry hours or main Thrift Store Mon. thru Sat. 10-4:30

    2. SERVICES:  Hot Meal on Thursday Evening 5:00PM. Food and Personal Supplies available 5-6pm on Thursdays.
    3. DONATIONS: Of food or Personal Supplies on Monday-Thursday from 9am-2:30 at Catholic Charities..

 

  1. CATHOLIC CHARITIES: 1408 Ellis St. Stevens Point

    2. SERVICES: Financial Counseling, Emergency Services: Food and Personal Supply Services, rental and utility assistance, gas vouchers, adoption counseling.  From 9am-2:30 Monday-Thursday or by appointment.
    3. DONATIONS of food or personal supplies available on Monday-Thursday from 9am to 2:30 at Catholic Charities.

 

 

 

  1. OPERATION BOOTSTRAP:5000 Heffron St. Stevens Point

    2. SERVICES: Food, Clothing, Shelter, Medical and Dental Assistance, house wares and other emergency needs not met by another source.  Crisis Assistance accepts referrals through PC Health and Human Services, CAP Services, Red Cross, Local Churches and Schools, Monday-Fri. 10-4:00

 

 

 

  1. PORTAGE COUNTY INTERFAITH FOOD PANTRY:2820 Post Rd, Plover
    1. 715-347-2689    Mel Dow
    2. SERVICES: FULL PANTRY Program, serving all individuals and families in need in Portage County.  The Pantry is open on 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month from 6PM to 8PM.
    3. DONATIONS: May be dropped off at Pantry by calling MEL DOW at 715-347-2689

 

  1. EMERGENCY SERVICES: 1314 Main St. Stevens Point

    2. PROVIDES EMERGENCY SERVICES IN COOPERATION WITH OPERATION BOOTSTRAP.  Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to noon and 1:00-4:30. No income eligibility guidelines.

      

      8. MOBIL PANTRY: 817 Whiting Ave. Stevens Point

b.      SERVICES:  Provides food supplies to residents in outlying areas in Portage County.  Once a month Delivery.

       9. ROSHOLT FOOD PANTRY:

b.SERVICES:3rd Monday of every month 3-7PM in basement of Rosholt    Clinic Building (enter through SE rear door)  

    1. DONATIONS: Non perishable food(canned fruit, vegetables, soup), basic household supplies(paper products, soap, detergent, etc.) or money donations to purchase perishable foods like milk, eggs and bread.

 

       10. FAMILY CRISIS CENTER:1616 West River Drive Stevens Point

            a. SERVICES: Temporary Shelter for Women Affected by Domestic Violence

             24/7

b. DONATIONS: Non Perishable Food, basic household supplies of laundry detergent,    diapers, new sheets and towels, gift cards for local grocery stores.  May be dropped off at any time.  Contact dhope@capmail.org to receive a more detailed monthly wish list.

 

      11.TRACK  FOOD PICKUP AT PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH:

 a. 293 Main St. Amherst: Cooperative of all Amherst Churches in partnership with the    Lions, Scouts, the school and many private citizens.

             c. Mondays 8-10am and Thursdays: 5-7pm
